Francis Kurien aka Franky, is an Artist, Motion designer, Photographer and highly passionate about skateboarding. In 2017, he used to make hand-drawn unique skateboards out of old pine woods in the utopian style.
2021 was his year of NFTs, and he sold his first digital artwork as an NFT, which was quite an eye-opener to a new world of sales and technology. Later the passion got more robust and pushed out my brand 'Merkabah boards', which eventually became a platform for artists to collaborate and create 1/1 Skateboards.
The idea was to create unique skateboards, unlike machines that make 1000s of similar-looking skateboards. He has rebranded the entire vision in a web3 space, made a solid team and launched the project a few days back. So that's his journey from a piece of wood to the metaverse.
