Andreas Stylianou (Cypriot, b.1990) is a Contemporary artist that lives and works between London and Nicosia. He studied at the Architectural Association (London) and received a Master’s degree from the Royal College of Art (London) and IE Business School (Madrid).
By engaging with a diverse range of mediums, Stylianou has externalized a dormant world that is blooming through a successive evolution of the work. Biographical narratives are expressed through popular characters, vibrant colors in addition to techniques of painting and making. Qualities maintained through the architectural background of the artist.
By conscious layering of intuitive mark making and precise meditative painting, the work expresses: Self in relation to time, while intersecting with a current retrospect of pop culture.
